Morrison Design team take on 23 mile Challenge Walk in aid of Derbyshire Mind

The Morrison Design team are taking on a mammoth 23 mile challenge walk in June, in aid of our charity of the year – Derbyshire Mind.

The team will be climbing 1000m (the equivalent of Scafell Pike) and take in some famous escarpments including Stanage Edge and Derwent Edge, with far ranging views towards Mam Tor, Kinder Scout and Bleaklow.

Whilst the views will be spectacular, the challenge will be tough, taking the 19-strong team approximately 10 hours in total.

Derbyshire Mind relies on fundraising to provide vital services throughout the county. The ‘Enjoying Derbyshire’ activities support people with mild to moderate mental health conditions such as depression or anxiety, or are experiencing low mood or isolation.

The activities include Green Connections, MindSpace and Mindful Crafts and are based on the Five Ways To Wellbeing. They’re designed to boost mood and improve mental wellbeing, reduce loneliness and isolation, and create connections between people.

A huge thanks to the team taking part: Sophie, Nik, Liam, Dave, James, John, Cinzia, Dean, Cerys, Pete and Josh as well as Dale who will be our support crew on the day. Also honorary team members Hayley, Paul, Emma, Laura, Alex, Sam, Giovanni and Gillian.

Thanks also to Richard and the team at Peak Walking Adventures who will be our guides on the day.
