Job title: Architectural Technologist.
When did you join Morrison Design? 2021.
How did you get into architecture? I’ve always had an interest in architecture – I watched a lot of Grand Designs on TV as a teen! I heard about the architectural technology degree and I thought that was best suited to me. From there I’ve worked at a couple of architecture practices, mostly residential, but I wanted to experience projects in different sectors and on a larger scale which is what brought me to Morrison Design.
What are you currently working on? The 5* Westbury Hotel in Mayfair, London. It’s a huge project with 196 bedrooms and is really complex.
Which project are you most proud of? The Westbury Hotel is the largest and most challenging project I’ve worked on. Working on an existing building is always challenging and especially at this scale.
What do you love most about your job? Collaborating with the rest of the team – which you only get on large projects like ours. It’s great having other members of the team to bounce off and we learn so much from each other.
What’s it like to work at Morrison Design? It’s a very supportive environment to work in, everyone has a real team mentality and it’s a great atmosphere.
Why should clients choose to work with Morrison Design? The breadth of experience and skills base throughout the team is quite unique. The practice has consistently demonstrated their ability to handle large and complex projects.
And just for fun…
