Peter Newman-Earp

Director

Pete joined Morrison Design in 1997 and worked his way up the ranks until the management buyout in 2019. Pete’s always had a passion for design and chose a career in architecture after a stint of work experience age 14.

Pete is a hugely experienced architect and heads up many of our major hotel projects. He’s also the Chair of Derby College Professional Construction Skills Academy – a first of its kind in the UK, offering an enhanced programme with additional input from local employers.

David Gardner

Director

Dave fell into the world of architecture after a spell as a junior draughtsman and has never looked back. Dave joined Morrison Design in 2004 and worked his way up to the management buyout in 2019.

Dave oversees many super top-secret science and technology projects, including the Rolls-Royce Regeneration – a 13-year project which completed in 2019.

Nik Clarke

Director

Nik joined Morrison Design in 2002, progressing to Director in 2019 in the management buyout. He’s been designing hotels for over 20 years and has extensive project management experience.

He’s hands-on and client facing, priding himself on delivering excellent service. Nik leads many of our hotel and public sector projects.

Dale Roberts

Associate Director

Dale is a hugely experienced architect, bringing an impeccable eye for detail. His knowledge of healthcare architecture, as well as labs and high tech, is enviable and he heads up many of our projects in these sectors.

Dale’s like a magpie, always taking inspiration from other buildings that are great at solving a particular design problem.

John Robson

Senior Architectural Technician

John developed a love for technical drawing at school and architecture was a natural next step.

John is a highly skilled and experienced member of our team. He has a quiet, confident and focused approach and particularly enjoys our science and technology projects.

John’s superpower: being a multi-talented team member, he can turn his hand to pretty much anything

Dean joined us in 2014 as a trainee technician and has been with us ever since. progressing to Senior Architectural Technologist.

He loves getting his teeth into challenging and complex hotel projects and seeing projects through from concept to delivery.

Les is a hugely experienced architect and has had a passion for architecture since he was young – reading about the Pompidou Centre in the papers as a teen and an article about the brand new city of Brasilia.

Architectural Technologist

Liam’s always had an interest in architecture (he watched a lot of Grand Designs on TV as a teen!).

He a brilliant team player and loves collaborating with the team on large and complex hotel projects. Liam is an astute Technologist with a calm and confident approach.

Cinzia Russo

Chartered Architect

Cinzia dreamt of being an architect from an early age. She’s experienced and passionate, with a love of creative design and integrating nature with the built environment.

Cinzia was part of a team who won 2nd prize in a global MOOC competition to design a new school in the Philippines, in an area which had been devastated by a hurricane. Her team’s project was displayed along others in an exhibition at the UN building in New York.

Sef Lawrence

Senior Architectural Technologist

Sef is an experienced technologist who is passionate about nurturing young talent. In addition to mentoring at Morrison Design, he also mentors final year students at Nottingham Trent University and is an NTU Fellow.

Sef is a highly skilled technologist with a passion for process and keen eye for detail.
