As we enter into Autumn, six members of the Morrison Design team have completed a 3 month long step challenge, totalling a whopping 5.5 million steps between them, all in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.
Jo, Nik, Liam, Cinzia, Les and Hayley have averaged 10k steps per day to reach over 900,000 steps each – representing the 900,000+ people in the UK currently living with dementia.
September marked the end of 5 months of challenges for the Morrison Design team who swam, cycled, trekked and stepped their way to fundraising £953 so far this year. Between the team they’ve:
- 🏊 Swam 21 miles
- 🚴♂️ Cycled 730 miles
- ⛰️ Trekked 182 miles
- 🚶🏽♂️ Stepped approximately 2,750 miles
Well done to everyone who has participated in one or more of the challenges; James, Jo, Nik. Liam, Cinzia, Les, Sophie and Josh.
And of course a huge thank you to friends, family, colleagues and contacts who have generously donated.

Meanwhile, John is 3/4 of the way through his year-long 2,024 mile cycle challenge. He said:
“I’m pleased to say I’m back on target with my cycling mileage. Summer seems to have disappeared, and the autumn weather makes it more difficult to get out, so I’m back on the exercise bike to stay on track.

And of course it’s that time of year again, for trimming the hedgerows – which caused a puncture. This is my second of the year but I am ¾ of the way through the challenge so that’s not too bad really. I’m on 1520 miles, which is somewhere in Serbia on the way to Istanbul.”
- 🙌 Miles completed: 1,520
- 🚴♂️ Miles left: 504
- 💙 Donations received: £1,006
- 🎉 Donations needed to reach target: £0!!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far – here’s the link if you’d like to support John’s fantastic efforts.
