Construction begins on Derby’s Future Mobility Hub

Construction is underway for the Future Mobility Hub – a sustainable travel zone based at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road site – with Morrison Design as the appointed architects.

The hub, a partnership between Derby City Council and the University of Derby and will be a first of its kind in the city, offering multiple transport choices in one place, enhancing sustainable travel facilities for students and staff.

“The Future Mobility Hub will include secure cycle parking, e-bikes and electric vehicle charging points. It’s a huge leap forward for the city’s sustainable travel plans and we’re excited to see progress on site.”

Michael Clarke, Senior Architect at Morrison Design

Morrison Design are working with Seddon (contractor), Rodgers Leask (structural engineers), CPW (M+E) and Quadrant (building surveyors).
