Many thanks to Dale Roberts for taking these pictures during a recent site visit to the ‘Super Lab’ project for the University of Derby. Construction is progressing well, with the installation of furniture currently underway. The project is on track for completion this summer, bringing us one step closer to providing the university’s Biomedical Science students with a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary learning space.

The space, formerly used as office and administrative areas, is being transformed into a state-of-the-art super lab, complete with supporting spaces for teaching and research. We are excited to see the space taking shape and are looking forward to the final result.

The project follows the successful completion of several projects for the university over the last couple of years, including the Molecular Biology Laboratory, The Facility for Omics Research in Metabolism (FORM) and the Performance Analysis Suite.
Morrison Design are proud to be the appointed Architects and are collaborating with Seddon (principal contractor), CPW together with JPR Group (M+E), Simply Labs (Furniture), Rodgers Leask (Structural engineer), Atkins Realis (Project Manager) and Hewshott (audio and acoustics).
