The end of May marks the end of our ‘Swim for Dementia’ challenge where two team members have completed a total of 11 miles of swimming for our charity of the year, Alzheimer’s Society.
Josh, Hayley (and Jo who started her cycle challenge early) have raised over £200 towards our £2,000 overall target.
In just a few days, at the start of June, our Cycle for Dementia challenge kicks off. A team of five will cycle 950 miles over the month, the equivalent of Land’s End to John O’Groats.
On top of this, John is continuing his 2,024 mile challenge – click here for his latest update.
To complete our challenge in July, August and September the team will take part in Step up for Dementia – with eight team members covering over 7 million steps between them! The challenge calls for participants to complete 10,000 steps a day for 30 days. The Morrison Design team are going one (or 600,000!) better by completing 900,000 steps over 3 months, representing the 900,000+ people in the UK currently living with dementia.
August will also see the team take on Trek26 – a challenging trek through the Peak District, covering 13 or 26 miles in one day. That’s a combined total of almost 250 miles from the Morrison Design team in less than 12 hours!
A huge thank you to those who have already donated, your support means so much to us and Alzheimer’s Society. If you would like to donate, here’s the link.
