Job title: Architectural Technologist.

When did you join Morrison Design? 2014.

How did you get into architecture? ?  I joined the Professional Construction course whilst working as a plumbing and heating engineer with a view to going to university – without really knowing what I would like to study. Whilst at college, the director of Morrison Design at the time came in for some informal discussions with all the students and I was asked to visit the offices for a more formal chat. A week or so later he offered me a position as a trainee/apprentice technician!

What are you currently working on? I have spent the last few years working on Point A Hotel, Dublin, but now I am part of the Westbury team. Both are very challenging, complex projects but equally as enjoyable.

Which project are you most proud of? Point A Hotel, Dublin – a challenging and exciting new build project that I started work on in 2018. I very much enjoyed the new build element of this project and building a strong relationship with the contractor and the rest of the design team. Unfortunately, I could not attend site as often as I would have liked due to COVID restrictions, but I was happy to have got over at the end of the project to see the final result, which was very pleasing.
