Morrison Design’s visit to their new Earls Court, London hotel site was quite an exciting one this week as some original features were discovered.
As the ceilings were being stripped the beautiful original ceiling architrave and ceiling roses have been revealed – they were originally part of the grand first floor lounge.
Nik Clarke, Director at Morrison Design, said: “Demolition and stripping out of existing buildings can often lead to revealing some unexpected historical features in a room. It’s always quite an exciting phase of work, never quite knowing what you might discover.”
Morrison Design are leading the professional team in a construction project to create a new 4* hotel in central London. The site is currently two separate buildings which house a 2* and 3* hotel; they will be combined to create one new 100+ bedroom hotel.
