Countdown to the CE East Midlands Awards

The image shows the sustainable travel hub on a sunny day. A large, curved structure is to the left with a wide pathway in the middle and car parking to the right.

We’re counting down to the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards dinner this Thursday where we’re incredibly proud to be shortlisted in FOUR categories!

🚌 Building Project of the Year – Sustainable Travel Hub, Derby
🚲 Infrastructure Project of the Year – Sustainable Travel Hub, Derby
👷 Integration & Collaborative Working Award – Superlab project, University of Derby
👥 People & Culture Award

The Sustainable Travel Hub – shortlisted in two categories – was delivered in collaboration with Derby City Council, the University of Derby, Seddon, Rodgers Leask, CPW and Socotec Building Control. It’s the first of its kind in Derby, designed to promote sustainable transport choices for staff and students alike.

A modern laboratory under construction with workstations, ceiling panels, and floor coverings. Fluorescent lighting and exit signs are visible.

Our Superlab project at the University of Derby – shortlisted for Integration & Collaborative Working as part of Seddon’s submission – showcases what’s possible when design, engineering and delivery teams align around a shared vision.

And finally, our nomination for the People & Culture Award (for the third year in a row!) is a celebration of the incredible team we have at Morrison Design – their creativity, commitment and collaboration drive everything we do.

👏 Good luck to all the finalists – we’re looking forward to an inspiring evening this Thursday!
