Super Lab

Morrison Design was appointed as Architect for the transformation of existing office and administrative areas into a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary laboratory at the University of Derby. The new Super Lab provides a high-specification teaching and research environment for Biomedical Science students, supporting the university’s commitment to innovation in STEM education.

Designed with adaptability and collaboration in mind, the Super Lab offers a future-ready space that encourages hands-on learning, cross-disciplinary research and academic excellence. The facility includes a fully equipped laboratory, along with supporting teaching and research areas – all designed to meet the technical demands of modern scientific education.

“This has been a fantastic project to be part of, working closely with the University and our project partners to deliver a space that will have real impact for students and staff. The Super Lab is a great example of adaptive reuse and thoughtful design in the education sector.”
