Savage Garden Bar

Located atop of the DoubleTree by Hilton, Tower of London, the brief was simple: create a city centre roof-top bar like no other. Our client was keen to maximise the functionality of a tired existing roof-top bar and transform it into London’s wildest sky-high destination.

The project was highly complex, with the bar located on the 12th floor of a very busy hotel in the centre of London with strict planning restrictions, so we had a tight 3-month programme of design and build.

The interior design was completely overhauled, so we collaborated with interior designers Grapes Design and concept designers to create a spacious and modern interior with a dark and sultry twist, complete with impressive artistic touches.

The main bar now has an indoor dining area which links the north and south terraces, creating a 432-cover capacity restaurant.

“We also completely redesigned the north ‘Wildside Terrace’ to incorporate a fully glazed space, featuring a retractable canopy which now enables the area to be used all-year-round, embracing the panoramic views of the London skyline including The Shard, Tower of London, The Gherkin and St. Paul’s Cathedral.”
