The Grade II listed hotel underwent a major bedroom refurbishment programme to all floors. This included a single storey roof extension to a rear block, forming an additional 8 guest rooms and the transformation of an existing glazed atrium area to create an additional 3 rooms.
The new rooms were formed from an existing gymnasium area which was sandwiched between two existing wings of the hotel. The scheme introduced a standalone block, between the existing blocks, to form three duplex premium rooms.
The rooms contain sleeping accommodation situated at lower level and living accommodation which doubles as a second bedroom area to the upper level.
“The Victorian building was beautiful but in need of some re-planning and refurbishment. Working on another Hilton hotel is always and honour and we’re chuffed with the result.”
