Morrison Design obtain planning permission for a West End hotel expansion.

Morrison Design have successfully obtained planning permission for a 250+ bedroom hotel in London’s West End, adding a total of 11 new bedrooms.

The bedrooms will be on the ground and basement levels, currently used as back of house and offices. Lightwells will be added to maximise daylight and two of the rooms will be duplex.

The scheme is in a complex location, overlooked by neighbours so the design required minimal impact. All levels are planned below an existing party wall.

Morrison Design have worked with the 250+ bedroom hotel for over 10 years, through various phases of expansion and upgrades.

Nik Clarke, Director at Morrison Design, said: “We’re delighted to be working at the hotel again. It’s always a compliment when a client continues to work with our team. This latest project is set to increase the capacity of the hotel which is always a challenge in central London with tight plots to work within. We’ve utilised basements in many projects and it’s a fantastic way to add extra bedrooms.”
