Mental Health Awareness Week at Morrison Design.

Mental Health is an extremely important topic for us at Morrison Design – this Mental Health Awareness Week we wanted to share the progress we’ve made on our initiatives.

Last year, we kicked off our Mental Wellbeing workstream with team members Cinzia Russo, Les Witten and James Parratt. Since then we’ve initiated several activities to support our team’s wellbeing:

  • Creating connection with cuppa and cake on Monday mornings
  • Getting out in nature with Wednesday walks round our local Darley Abbey park
  • Improving work/life balance through encouraging lunch breaks to be taken and disconnecting outside of work time
  • Feeling valued by further increasing recognition within our team

We’re delighted to have Cinzia as a trained Mental Health First Aider and next month Les and James will also undertake their training, enabling us to further support our team.

Finally, our team chose to support Derbyshire Mind for our charity of the year. The first of our fundraising activities – a 23-mile challenge walk in the Peak District – is just over 6 weeks away and we’d love to raise as much as we can for this wonderful charity. If you’re able to donate, every penny is so greatly appreciated. https://www.justgiving.com/page/morrison-design-1677069689220

We have lots more Mental Wellbeing activities planned for 2023 so watch this space.
