Morrison Design are proud to announce that we’re the appointed architects for an extensive refurbishment of Sloane Club, a private member’s club in Mayfair, London.
The historic venue was founded by Princess Helena, daughter of Queen Victoria, in 1922 as the Service Women’s Club. It was an affordable place for women in the forces to stay in London. Membership was opened to men in 1976. In 2017 the club was acquired by our longstanding client Queensway.
The refurbishment includes 56 bedrooms and 10 suites, a new fitness and wellness space, a co working space and reception lounge as well as three new restaurants, a bar, private events spaces and an all-season roof terrace.
Les Witten, Associate Director at Morrison Design, said: “We’re thrilled to be working on such a prestigious member’s club with a long and pioneering history. The refurbishment will see the spaces completely transformed and ready to welcome a younger and more cosmopolitan clientele.”
Morrison Design are delighted to be collaborating with Russell Sage (interior design), Thornley Lumb (M&E consultant), Axiom Structures (structural & civil engineer) and 3 Interiors (contractor).
