2025 has been one of our most rewarding years yet at Morrison Design – full of standout projects, great people moments and plenty of reasons to feel proud.
In Ireland, the opening of Point A Liberties in Dublin brought a bright and welcoming 95-bedroom new build hotel right to the heart of The Liberties. The team pulled together to create cosy guest rooms, a sociable breakfast and bar space and a warm first-impression for guests.

At the end of the year we wrapped up the full refurbishment of The Sloane Club, transforming all 56 bedrooms, seven suites, bars and dining areas and completing the new all-season terrace. Seeing the historic Chelsea members’ club refreshed and ready for the future has been a real highlight for us.
Locally, the new biomedical Super Lab officially opened its doors earlier in the year – a modern, future-ready space that’s already making a difference for students and researchers at the University of Derby. We also completed the Sustainable Travel Hub at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road campus, enhancing sustainable travel facilities for both students and staff.

Our people and culture were just as important this year. Mental Health Awareness Week saw the whole team take a breather together at a studio picnic – a simple moment that meant a lot. Our Diversity & Inclusion team had a busy year, organising activities for International Women’s Day, Pride Month, Black History Month and International Day of Persons with Disabilities. We had some brilliant and thought-provoking “Lunch & Learn” sessions and engaging displays, sparking some great conversations across the studio. And we loved celebrating personal wins too, especially trainee architectural technologist Josh Bolt being awarded “Best in Show” at his final degree show and graduating with a First Class Honours degree in Architectural Technology – seriously well deserved.

Community work was a big part of 2025 as well. Our partnership with Ben’s Den has been a joy, and the team threw themselves into fundraising – from a retro Charity Sports Day led by our Directors to colleagues Sophie and Justin taking on their own challenges. It brought the whole studio together and helped support an amazing cause for families going through incredibly tough times.
We also picked up some brilliant recognition along the way. We were shortlisted for a whole mix of awards this year – from Retail & Leisure Architect of the Year and four Constructing Excellence categories to Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year and even Responsible Business. A lovely reminder that the work we care so much about is resonating beyond our own walls.

All in all, 2025 has been a year full of hard work, creativity, collaboration and heart. We couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved – and we definitely couldn’t have done it without the people behind it all.
Huge thanks to Les, Dale, John, James, Dean, Mike, Sef, Sunny, Sophie, Nidhi, Josh, Justin and Jo – you’ve each made this year something special.
Here’s to an even bigger 2026.
