Morrison Design led the architectural delivery of the new Sustainable Travel Hub at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road campus, in partnership with Derby City Council and the University. The project transformed a former car park into a modern, shared-surface space designed to promote sustainable travel and improve connectivity across the campus.

The hub brings together multiple transport options in one location, supporting active travel such as cycling and walking while enhancing access for students and staff. Designed with sustainability at its core, the space reflects the University’s commitment to reducing environmental impact through thoughtful, future-focused development.

Now open and in use, the facility is the first of its kind in the city and marks a significant step in shaping a more accessible and environmentally conscious campus.
