John Robson, Senior Architectural Technician, has made a cracking start to his 2024 miles in 2024 challenge. In a month that’s given us three storms (thanks Henk, Isha and Jocelyn!), icy temperatures, dark mornings and evenings, John is on track, completing a total of 187 miles.
John’s riding 2024 miles during 2024 in aid of our charity of the year, Alzheimer’s Society. That’s the equivalent of riding from our Darley Abbey Studio to Istanbul!
“So far so good… (ish). I’ve endured a few windy days which were their own challenge and cycling in the dark in rush hour is proving daunting – roll on summer! On the plus side I’m on target having cycled 187 miles in January including 14 miles on the exercise bike. I plan to complete this challenge on as many different bikes as I can get my hands on – and on that note, I may have made a nostalgic Ebay purchase. More on that next month.”
