Morrison Design are extremely proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in FOUR categories at the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards.
The categories are:
⚡ Building Project of the Year for the Sustainable Travel Hub in Derby
⚡ Infrastructure Project of the Year for the Sustainable Travel Hub in Derby
⚡ Integration & Collaborative Working Award for the Superlab project at the University of Derby
⚡ People & Culture Award
The Sustainable Travel Hub, shortlisted in two categories, is located at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road campus. This innovative project, a collaboration between Derby City Council and the University of Derby, has created a unique hub for sustainable travel, offering multiple transport choices in one location. It has enhanced sustainable travel facilities for both students and staff, becoming the first of its kind in the city. We worked closely with Seddon (main contractor), Rodgers Leask (structural and civil engineering), CPW (building services) and Socotec Building Control (approved inspectors).

The Superlab project is shortlisted in the Integration & Collaborative Working category as part of Seddon’s submission, alongside Rodgers Leask and CPW. The project, for the University of Derby, sees the transformation of former office and administrative space into a state-of-the-art super lab, complete with supporting spaces for teaching and research.

People are at the heart of who we are at Morrison Design. So to be shortlisted for the People & Culture award for the third year running is an honour and testament to our wonderful team.
Congratulations to all the companies shortlisted, we look forward to attending the awards ceremony in July.
