The conversion of a 1930’s listed office block into 56 luxury guestrooms – an annexe to the existing hotel.
The new rooms were designed to emphasise exclusivity; the use of finishes and materials were carefully considered to further enhance the feeling of luxury.
The external envelope is Grade I Listed and therefore existing fenestration patterns couldn’t be altered. By making space between the lobby and bathroom and the body of the room, we created some 56 new guest bedrooms.
“The existing building and hotel have a strong 1930’s style which inspired the interior design. The scheme was designed to generate a residential feel with free-standing desks, feature credenza/bar units and defined entrance areas to create a timeless feel.”
