Morrison Design Ltd are excited to announce the recent completion of an Architectural refurbishment to the Dovecote restaurant; one of Derbyshire’s best restaurants, based within the Morley Hayes complex.
The project came about following a design brief from our local client to enhance the entrance area, bar, restaurant & seating areas. The design works included a complete re-design of the bar area to create serving points from two sides whilst maintaining an intimate feel. The highly detailed bar is complimented with modern, yet subtle lighting design
By opening up the bar & introducing additional windows into the space, the guests can now enjoy delightful views over the golf course in the Derbyshire countryside.
The adjacent WC’s have also had a complete overhaul; new tiling, sanitary ware & a modern lighting scheme all add to a bright & fresh approach to the design.
The existing entrance area to the restaurant has been enhanced with the introduction of contemporary illuminated signage, granite entrance steps & a modern glass & iron balustrade system. This has given the whole area a lift, providing the guests with a professional welcome.
Nik Clarke, Associate Director at Morrison Design Ltd says – “Its always a pleasure working with Morley Hayes, a local client that encourages modern design with a traditional feel, now in our 12th year of working together & already working hard on the next project!”
