Job Title: Senior Architect
When did you join Morrison Design? January 2024
How did you get into architecture? From when I was at school I knew that I wanted to be an architect, I thoroughly enjoy thinking of possibilities and being creative. My Dad is my biggest role model. For all of his professional life my Dad has worked for numerous main contractors within the construction industry – I’d always be interested in learning from him, and still am. I remember him bringing construction drawings home at the weekend and wanting to learn from him.
What are you currently working on? Most of my time is spent on our Piccadilly Circus bedroom capsule scheme – it’s a brilliant project. I can’t wait to see it progress on site. I’m also working on the DoubleTree by Hilton, West End project, A hotel roof extension in Victoria, London, University of Derby projects and a local leisure complex, Morley Hayes.
Which project are you most proud of? I am grateful to have been provided with the trust and opportunities to work on numerous projects I am particularly proud of within my career to date and the Piccadilly project is the most current project that I am proud of. It’s an extremely prestigious project and I’m excited to be a part of it. Any project within Zone 1 of the London tube map is an architect’s dream!
What do you love most about your job? Every day is different and I get to work on a number of different tasks and challenges. You are learning every day, it’s certainly never boring! Even the most mundane tasks are satisfying when they’re done well. As an architect, seeing your ideas and hard work being transformed into reality for everyone to use and enjoy is certainly satisfying.
What’s it like to work at Morrison Design? It’s a fun, vibrant space with great people. Everyone is friendly and approachable and there’s a wealth of knowledge in the team. There’s a wonderful mix of experience with everyone working on a wide variety of tasks and projects.

We’ve got a well structured office with skill sets at numerous levels which is fantastic for our clients. We’re a collaborative team of people – everyone talks and utilises our wonderful breakout spaces.
And just for fun…
Favourite building: I love The Guggenheim Museum in New York – it breaks the rules of conformity. I particularly like the story behind it – the challenges and struggles the architect (Frank Lloyd Wright) and the team had to turn ideas and drawings into built reality after many years of trying.
Favourite food: You can’t beat a classic fish and chips at the coast.
Favourite brand: Bowers and Wilkins sound systems – function and form
Something you dislike: the British weather this summer!
