As November draws to a close, Justin Richardson, Accounts Administrator at Morrison Design, is making fantastic progress in his 10km swimming challenge for Ben’s Den. He’s aiming to hit the halfway point after tomorrow’s swim, which means completing 36 more lengths to reach the 5km mark.
Here’s how Justin describes the journey so far:
“The first week I was like a greyhound out of the blocks and exceeded all expectations. Then I reverted to being a tortoise – slow but steady – especially struggling on Saturday with only 45 minutes of pool time. This week, though, I’ve got my mojo back as I aim to reach the halfway mark.”
Progress so far:
- Total swims: 5
- Distance covered: 4,100m
- Total swim time: 4h 18m
- Funds raised: £225 – nearly at his £300 target
Justin is taking on a challenge that demands real commitment, especially in the run-up to Christmas, all to support Ben’s Den, a charity providing vital holidays and support for children with cancer and their families.
