Hilton West End Transformation Complete

Morrison Design is pleased to announce the successful completion of a refurbishment project at DoubleTree by Hilton London – West End, where we served as Architect and Principal Designer.

One of the new guest bedrooms featuring a double bed, white linens, abstract art above the headboard, and a pendant light. The colorful rug adds warmth.

The project involved the reconfiguration of the hotel’s ground and lower ground floors, transforming former back-of-house and meeting room areas – along with a gym previously located on the lower ground – into high-quality guest and amenity spaces.

Modern bathroom with a glass shower, rain showerhead, and wall-mounted toiletries. The sink with towels and a mirror reflecting a cozy bedroom.

The refurbishment included the creation of 14 new guest bedrooms, featuring two striking duplex suites that add both character and capacity to the hotel. The gym and meeting facilities have been relocated to the ground floor, improving accessibility and elevating the overall guest experience.

A cozy corner of the new guest bedroom, featuring a vibrant orange chair with a striped pillow, a tall lampshade, and a round marble-top side table. An abstract painting adorns the wall, enhancing the warm, inviting atmosphere.

Michael Clarke, Senior Architect at Morrison Design, commented: “The completed works have maximised the potential of the hotel’s footprint, delivering a modern, light-filled environment that enhances both guest comfort and revenue generation. Lightwells introduce natural light into the lower floors, creating bright, welcoming rooms with a contemporary finish.”

We were proud to collaborate with an expert team throughout the project, including M R Allen (contractor), Rodgers Leask (structural and civil engineering), Dawne Studio (interiors), Fitzsimons (project management), and Hockley Building Services (M+E).
