The weather may have changed our plans, but it didn’t stop us taking some time out together. Instead of our planned outdoor picnic, the team gathered in the studio kitchen for a relaxed lunch and catch-up. It was a chance to step away from our screens, slow down for a moment, reconnect and check in Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 🌿

Another Double for Morrison Design’s Superlab

We’re really pleased to share that the University of Derby Bioscience Superlab has been shortlisted in two categories at the Constructing Excellence East Midlands Awards: Retrofit Project of the Year and Building Project of the Year. Sustainability Lunch & Learn at the studio 🌱

Today we explored what makes a truly sustainable city, watching and discussing examples from Singapore and Copenhagen – and what London can learn from both. The conversation naturally turned to vertical farming, an area where we’ve built strong sector expertise through projects including Fischer Farms. It’s exciting to see how innovation in food production, urban Sustainability Lunch & Learn at the studio 🌱

We’re really pleased to share that our University of Derby Bioscience Superlab has been shortlisted in two categories at the CN Life Sciences, Tech and Research Clusters Awards 2026: Best New Campus Development and Best Retrofit & Reuse Building. Today, for Earth Day, we’re celebrating the small, consistent choices that help us reduce our impact and design more responsibly. From the Studio Archive: Holiday Inn Hotel Kuwait Al Thuraya City

Our archive holds hotel projects that continue to speak for themselves decades after completion. This week, we’re looking back at the Holiday Inn Kuwait Al Thuraya City, originally designed in 1978 and still operating as a key destination today.
