Hilton London Paddington

Morrison Design was appointed to deliver a phased guestroom refurbishment programme at Hilton London Paddington, enhancing the guest experience while respecting the character of one of London’s most historic railway hotels.

The project included the refurbishment of 88 guestrooms, delivered across two phases, introducing a contemporary design that complements the building’s heritage and strengthens its position as a leading destination within the capital.

Originally opened as the Great Western Hotel, the property occupies a prominent position alongside Paddington Station and has a rich architectural history. The refurbishment carefully balanced modern guest expectations with the preservation of the building’s distinctive character.

This scheme forms part of Morrison Design’s long-standing relationship with the hotel, which dates back to 1999. Over the years, the practice has delivered a number of significant refurbishment projects across the site, supporting the ongoing evolution of this landmark property.

James Parratt, Project Manager, said: “Having worked with Hilton London Paddington for many years, it was rewarding to contribute to the next stage of the hotel’s development. The refurbishment delivers a fresh and contemporary guest experience while remaining sympathetic to the history and significance of this iconic building.”
