Since 1948, Morrison Design has been creating projects that stand the test of time. Looking back at our past work, it’s clear how our experience and approach have grown while staying true to the studio’s core vision.
Here, we’re revisiting the Baglioni Hotel on Kensington Gore in London, right across from Hyde Park. Opened in 2004 in a historic Victorian building, it’s a boutique luxury hotel with a timeless sense of style on one of the city’s most distinguished streets.
The watercolour shown here was made during the design process by a specialist artist, long before computers and digital tools became standard. It helped bring the architect’s vision to life in a tangible, human way.
These hand-drawn studies still capture the character and intent of the project in a way that still resonates today.
