We are incredibly proud to celebrate the announcement of Derby College Group as the East Midlands’ lead Construction Technical Excellence College – a prestigious recognition awarded by the Department for Education.
This designation acknowledges the college’s outstanding commitment to high-quality vocational training that meets the evolving needs of our region’s construction sector. The official announcement was made during a recent visit to the college’s specialist Hudson Building Campus by Bridget Phillipson MP, Secretary of State for Education – an event attended by Nik Clarke, Director at Morrison Design.
Morrison Design was pleased to support the bid and continues to play an active role in developing the next generation of construction professionals.
As part of our ongoing collaboration with Derby College Group, Peter Newman-Earp, Director at Morrison Design, proudly serves as Chair of the Derby College Professional Construction Skills Academy – the first of its kind in the UK.
We also regularly host work experience and work placement students from the college, helping to build real-world skills and confidence.
