We’re incredibly proud to be in a position where we can give back – to charity and our local community.
Each year a member of our MDL family nominates a charity close to their hearts. We then throw ourselves into fundraising as much as we possibly can.
For 2026 we’ve chosen Ménière’s & Vestibular UK who support people affected by vestibular disorders, raising awareness, and funding research into conditions that are often life-changing and widely misunderstood. We’ve got lots of exciting stuff happening so follow our socials to see what we’re up to and, of course, if you’re able, visit our JustGiving page to donate.
We’ve previously supported the wonderful charities Ben’s Den, Alzheimer’s Society, Derbyshire Mind, British Heart Foundation, Newlife and Special Friends.

Our Community
Morrison Design has a long history of inspiring and nurturing local talent. The three directors all started as juniors or apprentices and are committed to providing young people with opportunities.
Peter Newman-Earp, Director here at Morrison Design is Chair of Derby College Professional Construction Skills Academy. A first of its kind in the UK, it offers an enhanced programme with additional input from local employers including guru lectures, industry mentors and paid summer internships to students.
Peter said: “It’s always been an important part of the culture here at Morrison Design to bring young people into the team. We were all immensely grateful to be given opportunities at the start of our careers and it’s so rewarding to see our team grow and flourish. My work with Derby College allows us to give back to our local community – it’s an excellent college and we are honoured to play a small part in inspiring the next generation of architects.”
